Jun. 20th, 2017 01:53 pm... in recent news, KaibaCorp today has announced the much-rumored "Duel Links" project.
Previously known by the name of "Project: Egghead", the "Duel Links" project will open the dueling world to the wonders of Virtual Reality. Based upon the popular VR World rides and attractions in KaibaLand, "Duel Links" will be a fully dueling based simulator in which players appear as avatars of their choosing, and duel each other using Speed Duels-- a simpler version of the Master Rules format.
KaibaCorp has released the following video for promotional purposes.
*What follows is an instructional/advertising video showing off the graphical quality of the VR world, including the realism and the potential for avatar creation, as well as demonstrating the Speed Dueling mechanics, which are as follows:
Three Main Monster Zones
Three Spell/Trap Zones
40 Card Decks
10 Extra Deck Slots
4 Card Starting Hand
No Main Phase 2
And the addition of the Extra Monster Zone, which the video teases will have a new effect upon the game!
... before it cuts back to the actual news announcer.*
While the current release date has not been announced, KaibaCorp PR has confirmed that they have already sent out preliminary Closed Beta invites to chosen duelists in the city. Closed Beta tests will be taking place at KaibaLand in the upcoming weeks...
