::Beneath the halls of tacky gold
Lies a game like ages old;
Contestants brought, some scared, some bold;
To either win, or else grow cold.

Not of the earth, and dim the light,
The place "Gershom", and such the fright.
The dome o'erhead is quite the sight...
Yet all it brings to mind is flight.

But no escape from this dark night;
To go back home, they then must fight;
Sometimes themselves, an awful plight!
But better than the fiends that bite...

Who hosts the games? The fiend 'Sharar';
With armor black, and pow'rs bizarre.
It makes the games, which twist and scar.
And sometimes even opts to spar.

It wields a scythe, the blades contort;
An evil laugh as starts its sport;
They rush in armed, with hopes to thwart;
But far the more, their lives cut short.

The battle lost, just one still stands;
With arms thrown down, and face in hands;
"What is your wish?" the fiend demands;
And with a wave the room expands.

"We've prizes great, and gifts divine..."
"Perhaps long life, or a new spine?"
"To ne'er grow fat, to live on wine;"
"The choice is yours, no need to sign."

"What could I want, my pain is rife"
"You put us through all of this strife"
"What could I want, but just my wife"
"And all you've killed brought back to life?"

"That wish, I fear, I cannot grant."
"I can save life where hope is scant..."
"Or give a chance where others can't..."
"For life brought back, there is no chant."

"For you I give good health and cash."
"I'll even cure that stubborn rash."
"So stop your tears and teeth that gnash."
"You'll wake in bed in just a flash."

Thus ends this bloody little show.
It started just scant hours ago.
And though 'guests' are driven to woe...
Somehow the fans just seem to grow...

So what of you? I like your jive.
Perhaps you found a lost thumb drive,
Or maybe still you watched it live.
...or were the one left to survive...::
