Duel Summary

[Duel Log]

The duel started off strong with Tsurugi summoning Meteor Black Comet Dragon and dealing burn damage off the bat, establishing her field right from the start. Landrobe responded defensively, buying himself a turn in order to set his own plans in motion, while also setting up his Pendulum Scales with his Qliphort monsters.

From Landrobe's next turn, however, the moves on both duelists' ends were a flurry of action. Landrobe tribute-summoned for Qliphort Disk, summoning out more monsters from his deck in preparation for his Pendulum Summons. Tsurugi responded in turn to increase the attack of her Meteor Black Comet Dragon, and when that failed to make an impact other than damage, thanks to Tenacity, summoned out Buster Dragon.

Then Landrobe Pendulum Summoned, Tribute Summoning for Qliphort Stealth to remove Meteor Black Comet Dragon from the field. He proceeded to clear her field of monsters through attacks, but failed to deal a critical blow thanks to the use of Action Cards.

Tsurugi was not one to take this lying down, however, and she quickly responded with multiple summons. Buster Blader, Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, Buster Dragon, and Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman, who then effectively sealed Landrobe's field. With 5500 total ATK from the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman, it seemed as though this'd be the end for Landrobe, but he managed to nab up Block Draw, turning the blow into a minor advantage for him. Not that this deterred Tsurugi, however, as she responded in return, equipping her Dragon Destroyer with Dragon Buster Destruction Sword, sealing his Extra Deck summons.

However, the card Landrobe drew through Block Draw was Mystical Space Typhoon, allowing him to free up his Extra Deck once more. From there, he put everything to his last chance to try to take out her field, and managed to grab up Detour, negating Buster Dragon's effect that forced his monsters into submission.

From there, he managed to tribute summon Apoqliphort Skybase, taking control of the Dragon Destroyer himself to deal heavy damage to Tsurugi. However, he failed to destroy Buster Dragon, and as the turn ended, so did the Action Card's effect.

While Tsurugi showed restraint in taking him out entirely during her next turn, having gotten back the Dragon Destroyer, it was clear that he was unable to go for another Action Card, thanks to his limited stamina, and accepted that it was at the end of the line after she sealed his Extra Deck summons once more. From there, she recognized his skill, and ended the duel.
