[Event Post] Halloween Haunted Hotel Party at the Equinox

::Welcome, welcome to the costume party at the Equinox, which has a quasi Victorian air to it.
The party is located in the front foyer and the main garden grounds of the hotel, with tables of food and drink prepared, and plenty of conversation pieces. People are wandering about in costumes both elaborate and simple.
There's plenty of merry making, you should all gladly talk to one another, but if you're feeling risky, maybe venture into the closed Western Wing of the hotel that is under renovation.
If you're wondering who could afford to rent out the hotel for this nighttime event, it appears to be a group called the Tannhauser Society, which if you look it up, seems to be some generic something or other NGO or Charitable organization.
In the back of the Foyer is a Romanticism style painting of a red-haired maiden in armor with what appears to be Celeb Blade - Death Wild, leading a revolutionary pose. It adds to the antiquity of the building tonight, which adds a bit of a chill.
Otherwise there's general pumpkins, skeletons, bats, cauldrons and the like to add to the Halloween atmosphere.
The host is a cloaked figure with the name tag "Sister Fingers". Probably an elaborate costume.
But feel free to interact, nothing strange will happen tonight.::

She's come to the party dressed as a fairy.*

::Kanan walks over, with the kinda sexy witch outfit, but definitely a bit more modest.::
A bit lonely over here, miss, don't you think?

I don't really do social events very often so I guess I'm just not sure what to do.
no subject
Mostly just talk, I believe.
no subject
Unless they start it first, like you have.
no subject
So, what brought you to the part. I'm mostly waiting on a friend of mine.
no subject
I have been meaning to get out and do things beyond my job, but it's been so long since I properly did anything like this, I just have no idea where to start.
no subject
And what do you do for work?
no subject
no subject
Oooh, exploring what exactly? I get the research part.
no subject
It helps us create a better understanding of the various worlds within the Dimensions. Like the landscapes, legends and cultures and how those who live there go about their lives.
no subject
Oh!
I wonder if you've visited my home.

*Tarou's here! Only he's dressed up in some sort of black medieval looking outfit. With a long-nosed mask at his side.
It's a bit of a surprise to see him.*
no subject
*She actually looks pleased to see him. An actual face she recognises! Plus a fellow researcher type not in their natural habitat of books and papers.*
I didn't realize you were coming to this party today.
no subject
*he holds up a notebook* Parties, celebrations, holidays-- they're all part of the cultural research I do! Especially with this city having more than the average number of supernatural beings and experiences, I need to see how it affects a party like this.
And, you know, it gets me out of my room for a little while.
no subject
I'm not usually one for parties either, but I thought I'd push myself to go to this one.
But I've felt nothing but awkward since I got here.
Though, seeing it as a research opportunity is a really good idea.
no subject
*-- he takes a moment to let out a yawn. He's a bit tired.*
no subject
Are you okay, Satou-san?
no subject
no subject
Well, as long as you're okay.
Too much late night research work?
no subject
But I don't think a party is a place to get into that, really.
no subject
I understand.
Well, let's just enjoy the party and the potential for research!
no subject
*he's just happy you're not pushing, but he'll talk about the issue. Eventually.*

Though she's not in a costume, she's just... in her regular Duel Monster form. I guess Halloween is the one time she can get away with that without really being questioned.
