(NPD) Reiji Akaba (c) and Isabel Marias dueled to a No Contest in a duel for the Action Dueling World Championship

Notes from the Night:
- The "Mystery Duelist" who challenged Yuya Sakaki turned out to be Shingo Sawatari, a duelist from Maiami City and the Leo Duel School.
- In the tag team gauntlet duel, Yasha Grave and Sylvia Signer appeared to have the gauntlet won when one more surprise team came out, Isao Kachidoki and Lan Zheng, representing Ryozanpaku. Records of the gauntlet's entry showed Kachidoki and Zheng collectively grouped with the rest of Ryozanpaku, who were thought to only have entered one team, Mayu Akiyama and Homura Khang into the Gauntlet Duel, but very shortly before deadlines to enter close, Kachidoki and Zheng changed their grouping and entered as a team themselves, also representing Ryozanpaku. Kachidoki and Zheng drew the final spot, number six, in the Gauntlet and wound up winning the duel.
- Timur Vesik and Jean Michel Roget interfered early into the main event, a duel between Isabel Marias and Reiji Akaba for the Action Dueling World Championship, attacking Isabel Marias and causing a No Contest. The NPD has released a comment saying there will be consequences for Vesik and Roget's actions and a rematch between Marias and Akaba will be scheduled ASAP.

[But the night isn't over for every duelist just yet!

There's plenty of media around to talk to duelists at various points throughout the night. They may be spoken to in the hallways, in the locker room, after their own duels, after the entire night is done and any time or place in between. There's also an area set up with tables and chairs for press conferences.

It's a holy Mountain there, where the entire mountain is a temple of sorts, but is made of temples that are sort of stations for the trek of pilgrimage. The key ones are the one at the bottom and the one at the top. Right now I think I've cleared the bottom. So I'm gonna go walking up to the top. ['Thoughts on your competition, Mr. Tendou?'] ::Again, the young man thought, the lights beaming down on him as the sweat from the day dripped down his body.:: Of course my classmate Kachidoki's definitely skilled, but I think he let his passions get to him a bit too much, I think if he can cool the wild fury thing he's got going he won't be far behind me. Kamishiro's something else. But that's to be expected of a graduate of a rather high cost and class private school like Umiirukademia. Can't say nothing against the guy, other than Kachidoki had something fierce against the guy. And Hiiragi, well. She's got to stop acting like, and I know she ain't, but she keeps acting like some rich daddy's girl who's here to get something on her resume for marriage or to get a cushy job at the company board. The move against my Berserkion was just downright embarrassing and probably cost her the Duel in the long run if you want my opinion. She's got to stop doing that if she wants to be treated as a serious contender for the Pros. But I will give her she's tenacious if nothing else. But you can't walk to the Pros on tenacity alone. In the end of the day, I was just a bit more lucky and maybe a bit more sly than my competition, and frankly, that's what matters. Skill. Strength. Luck. I was just a bit more skilled at playing the long con despite getting bumped out, and I managed to take advantage of the other three in-fighting. That's all. I ain't gonna let it go to my head. ['Do you think Ryozanpaku's combat is too unfair for the format? And that it's going too far into the realm of street violence?'] ::'Damn, they're pressing that point.':: Frankly? It could be, but that's ultimately on the League itself. We're just abiding by the rules and limits we're being given by the league managers and the companies backing the league. If they want us to back off, we will, and I won't complain. Not every match needs to involve my signature Dragon Suplex. But, hey, there's the whole point of lemons and lemonade. If I can make a better lemonade than the competition, ain't nothing wrong with that. But I get told we need to scale back, sure, I'll listen and play by those new restrictions. ['What do you plan to do next, Mr. Tendou?'] ::The young boy grinned.:: I said it already, I'm gonna start walking the path to the Pro Leagues, using this as my starting point. I'm going to sharpen the identity I want to create going forward.
