[DUEL FESTIVAL - DAY 7]

*It's the seventh day of the Festival, in the morning.

And to a lot of people's surprise, it seems like everything's getting packed up. Most of the booths and stands are closed down and getting put away, but it looks like the day's main event is still planned to commence. On the schedules everyone can access, there is only one event for the arena: "Wonder Quartet".

Up until this point, everyone assumed this to be basically a regular tournament to top off the event while everyone enjoyed their final day, but it seems like there's something more, with how hurried the organizers are.

Notably though, around the areas where screens are set up to show dueling video, online streams, and at the arena, there's two countdowns present-- one being for in a few minutes to something simply noted as "Announcement", and the other being for the oft-rumored "Wonder Quartet", a half-hour after that, starting at noon.

Best thing to do right now is to head for the arena, or watch one of the screens present or on your computer/phone/internet device of your choice.*

Oh, I won't. I'm just annoyed.

I wanted to claim this place for my own and take on all challengers like that, but I suppose this'll do.
crystaline: Why not say something I don't know, then? (flirty)

[Duel Summary]

The duel begun as expected, Rio activating her field card, "Palace of Frozen Stars", before summoning her monster, Gamayun of the Chilling West. However, Escher responded in turn, activating "Crystolic Potential" and summoning Crystron Rosenix, dealing the first damage and setting up for her Synchro Summons, but was taken by surprise when Rio used her Palace to inflict burn damage to her.

However, from there, Escher went in heavy against Rio, Synchro Summoning Powered Inzektron, and from there, getting the cards out to Synchro Summon a powerful monster, Crystron Quariongandrax.

While she attempted heartily to recover her field, including use of set bluffs and a Big Escape, Rio ultimately was unable to handle the 3000 ATK monster, whose speed around the field flummoxed her-- especially along with Crystron Ametrix, who Escher also summoned. The two monsters' movements on their home field were enough to get in the final blow, with Rio being unable to get anymore Action Cards.
