*It's the seventh day of the Festival, in the morning.

And to a lot of people's surprise, it seems like everything's getting packed up. Most of the booths and stands are closed down and getting put away, but it looks like the day's main event is still planned to commence. On the schedules everyone can access, there is only one event for the arena: "Wonder Quartet".

Up until this point, everyone assumed this to be basically a regular tournament to top off the event while everyone enjoyed their final day, but it seems like there's something more, with how hurried the organizers are.

Notably though, around the areas where screens are set up to show dueling video, online streams, and at the arena, there's two countdowns present-- one being for in a few minutes to something simply noted as "Announcement", and the other being for the oft-rumored "Wonder Quartet", a half-hour after that, starting at noon.

Best thing to do right now is to head for the arena, or watch one of the screens present or on your computer/phone/internet device of your choice.*

Ma'am... If it isn't prudent for me to ask... are you sure there isn't anything else I could be doing, other than just gathering intelligence? It feels wrong to be standing by the side while everyone else is moving and putting forth a clear effort towards this.

[Her eyes can't be seen from Sonia's vantage point, but, it's easy to get the feeling that they're moving up and down, taking her in.]

I'm volunteering to fight, or do anything that's required of me, ma'am. If it means I can help do more... Then I'll do whatever I can do!

*she's having a lot of guts to even be asking this. it's beyond her. But she wants to not feel so aimless with this...*

[A hand reaches out and grabs Sonia's arm and lifts it up. A finger taps an area on her Duel Disk a couple times. The functionality may not exist on this disk she's wearing right now...but on an Academia disk, her hand would be in the area that turns a person into a card.]

*... she hasn't done it before. And the look on her face says it.

But then she steels herself.*

I need to be able to do something... even if it means taking prisoners like that. I'm prepared for it. I've been prepared for it.

[Hidden by the shadows, a smile curls onto her face.]

Your dedication is admirable. It is...unfortunate that, being what you are, most within Academia would be content to ignore that. Simply cast you aside.

As you are...you have little hope of reaching your full potential within Academia, Sonia.

*... she bites down on her lip. She's right. Academia... Academia will never appreciate what she can do...*

*of course, a bit in the back of her head is telling her, something's wrong here. something's off. but one of the generals of Academia is offering to her a chance to show herself. To show that she can manage this and be better than how she's been treated.*

[She pulls the card back, into the shadows.]

[She taps a button on her Duel Disk. A picture appears:

She is quite popular in this town, as I've heard it. A champion, even.

She... looks a lot like our Lady Serena.

She does. I'm sure you noticed that quite a while ago.

There is significance there. Not for you or I to know. But the Professor says she is vital to the Arc Area Project.

Do you understand the importance of your task, Sonia?

I... I understand! I absolutely will not let you down. I'll be sure to bring her back, no matter what.

I know you won't disappoint me.
