*It's the seventh day of the Festival, in the morning.

And to a lot of people's surprise, it seems like everything's getting packed up. Most of the booths and stands are closed down and getting put away, but it looks like the day's main event is still planned to commence. On the schedules everyone can access, there is only one event for the arena: "Wonder Quartet".

Up until this point, everyone assumed this to be basically a regular tournament to top off the event while everyone enjoyed their final day, but it seems like there's something more, with how hurried the organizers are.

Notably though, around the areas where screens are set up to show dueling video, online streams, and at the arena, there's two countdowns present-- one being for in a few minutes to something simply noted as "Announcement", and the other being for the oft-rumored "Wonder Quartet", a half-hour after that, starting at noon.

Best thing to do right now is to head for the arena, or watch one of the screens present or on your computer/phone/internet device of your choice.*

*Minerva forms from the Network, two materials floating around her, as her owl friend flutters next to her.*

I detach a material to mill the top three cards of my deck. *the dark material vanishes, as Minerva waves her staff. three cards go: Curse of the Shadow Prison, Raiden, and Lyla, as he draws two cards*

Battle! Winda, attack Gigantes! *Winda charges forth on the puppet Pulao, staff at ready to hit Gigantes, crackling with an unknown magic*

[Gigantes shatters.] (1800 LP) [When it's destroyed, Gigantes' log hits the ground, shaking the earth and shattering Naturia Sacred Tree as well.]

Sacred Tree's effect adds Naturia Hunter Cricketblade to my hand when it's sent to the graveyard.

*hnmn. He doesn't know what she has planned... But this'll even the odds more than anything else.*

Minerva, attack Aussa! *Minerva holds out her hand, as the owl goes at Aussa, raking with it's talons*

[Aussa is destroyed.] (800 LP)

I set one card, and end my turn!

*the card appears, as he stops for a moment to brace himself--

but then that's when they both start to hear it. Yelling in the distance. Crashing sounds. He looks around, honestly confused for a moment.*

[Isabel is looking over his field. At her hand. If she's gonna win, she needs to do it now. She puts her hand to her deck --

-- she stops. Her ears twitch. She looks up. She looks around.]

*you're pretty sure you can see explosions happening in the distant area, from the glacial area, to the neighboring ruins...

And you're definitely hearing yelling. screams, at that. That doesn't sound right at all. the atmosphere seems tense as well.*

... This... definitely wasn't happening an hour ago.

...

[Isabel grimaces. This. This really doesn't feel like dueling in a tournament. The explosions, maybe, but people usually don't scream like that, no matter how rough a tourney duel gets.]

...this isn't part of the tournament.

... No. It isn't.

*he takes a step back.*

I don't think this duel can continue, knowing this is going on. *he moves his hand to where his deck is.*

[Isabel just pulls her deck out and deactivates her disk, stopping the duel. She's already put her cards away in a pouch under her cloak within a few seconds.]

I'm going to see what it is.

*... well that definitely works. He pulls out his own deck.*

Fine. Done and done.

*he puts his cards away before starting to run off with naught another word-- he's heading for the Ruins Zone without a second thought as to the fact that there's explosions and screaming coming from there in addition to the Glacial Zone.*

[Isabel runs with him. Given what happened to her before this, she suddenly has a very, very bad feeling.]

*he's surprised for a moment that she's coming with him, but--

focus. He needs to figure out what's happening, and also figure out where Trena's gotten off to. He has no time to be concerned about Isabel following along.*
