[DUEL FESTIVAL - DAY 7]

*It's the seventh day of the Festival, in the morning.

And to a lot of people's surprise, it seems like everything's getting packed up. Most of the booths and stands are closed down and getting put away, but it looks like the day's main event is still planned to commence. On the schedules everyone can access, there is only one event for the arena: "Wonder Quartet".

Up until this point, everyone assumed this to be basically a regular tournament to top off the event while everyone enjoyed their final day, but it seems like there's something more, with how hurried the organizers are.

Notably though, around the areas where screens are set up to show dueling video, online streams, and at the arena, there's two countdowns present-- one being for in a few minutes to something simply noted as "Announcement", and the other being for the oft-rumored "Wonder Quartet", a half-hour after that, starting at noon.

Best thing to do right now is to head for the arena, or watch one of the screens present or on your computer/phone/internet device of your choice.*

*boy, that just got worse for him. He glances at Labrys, eyes slightly narrowed.*

Given what was happening, not just to me. You're likely better off not getting involved--

Not a chance. I know we didn't get off on the best impression, but I can't stand by while you're clearly in a trapped situation, especially when you can help me in turn.

Now the question is, will this go quietly, or should I start using excessive force right off the bat?

Who then produces a giant axe out of nowhere, cleaving the hound into two.*

*whatever he was expecting from this woman, it was clearly not a giant axe*

::Summons an Ancient Gear Soldier.::

::Lobs a grenade underhand, Labrys, which clicks and explodes at your feet.::

*brings down her axe to block the brunt of the explosion*

Ancient Gear Howitzer, FIRE!

::At the same time as the Knight charges you, a massive cannon shell is lobbed at you, Labrys, it looks like it'll hurt a ton.::

*While she's able to react in time for the cannon shell to raise her axe to deflect it off-course-- it's a bigger target, that's easier-- she isn't able to focus on the Knight heading for her...!*

*... but that's when a strange purple demon appears in front of the Knight, blocking it and repelling it*

You think that will stop me? Quick-Play Spell, Quick Summon! I Tribute Ancient Gear Knight for Ancient Gear Beast!

::A huge metal sabertooth wolf appears.::

Go! Beast, clear through his monster!

*another demon joins with the purple one, both of them combined halting the Beast for the moment with their defenses.*

And before you think my companion's lost his mind... Reverse Card Open! The Trap Card, "Alert" activates a Set Continuous Spell on my field!
I have nothing since my Explosive blew up my Soldier! Go Ancient Gear Castle!

::The Beast jumps to 2300 ATK, as the castle forms in the background.::

*Labrys comes in swinging at the Beast drive them off of the two monsters-- though Beast manages to take out Scarm before she can, leaving him with Rubic. But no matter.*

Hnm. Then fine.

Summon Farfa! Tuning! *the new demon and Rubic turn into a series of rings and stars and wireframe, before a flash of light streaks across--

Forming into a man with a hat and cape and a flaming guitar.*

Virgil, Rock Star of the Burning Abyss.

Go! Howitzer, attack Virgil!

::The demonic beasts fires at your rock star, Mamoru, with pretty heavy shells, but it's still weaker....::

Farfa's effect.

*the spectre of the darker winged demon from before appears before Howitzer, touching it and making it vanish, for now, as Virgil's flames spring up, causing the shells to explode before even getting close-- and then chasing after the one who controlled that monster*
