[DUEL FESTIVAL - DAY 7]

*It's the seventh day of the Festival, in the morning.

And to a lot of people's surprise, it seems like everything's getting packed up. Most of the booths and stands are closed down and getting put away, but it looks like the day's main event is still planned to commence. On the schedules everyone can access, there is only one event for the arena: "Wonder Quartet".

Up until this point, everyone assumed this to be basically a regular tournament to top off the event while everyone enjoyed their final day, but it seems like there's something more, with how hurried the organizers are.

Notably though, around the areas where screens are set up to show dueling video, online streams, and at the arena, there's two countdowns present-- one being for in a few minutes to something simply noted as "Announcement", and the other being for the oft-rumored "Wonder Quartet", a half-hour after that, starting at noon.

Best thing to do right now is to head for the arena, or watch one of the screens present or on your computer/phone/internet device of your choice.*

The Arc Area Project, or as a lot of our soldiers call it colloquially, the "Aquaria" Project. The Professor, noticing the environmental collapse of this world, and the diminishing mineral resources, has proposed and implemented a plan designed to take over, secure and ultimately merge our dimensions to create a utopia, a modern day Paradise.

I...I dunno anything about that, but that's not what they're doing!

They attacked Heartland, both in Yuto and Kurosaki's dimension and in this world too! They destroyed the cities and attacked civilians!

Cities we attacked were because of terrorists and dangers being located there, who are to serve as the building blocks for the new world. Academia makes it strict policy to not attack civilians.

There weren't any "terrorists" or "dangers" in Heartland city! My friend Yuma...his family barely escaped the city with their lives! My friend Kotori -- she lost her family! They told us they saw innocent people under attack, running for their lives! Not terrorists! Not fighters! Normal people and their families! And the same thing happened in the Xyz Dimension! Their Heartland was a peaceful place before they were attacked!

I don't really have any skin in this. But I saw it myself. Soldiers of Academia turning innocent people into cards and laughing. Like it was some kinda game to them. Believe it or don't. But Academia's caused a path of destruction wherever they've gone. And this Battle Royale isn't any different. Those guys in the masks has been razing this place trying to find you and they haven't shown mercy to anyone in their path.

As per the New York-Tokyo Accords of 2003, according to our definitions, anyone with a Duel Disk is automatically an enemy combatant.

However, the problem is I can't trust a word here, it could be poisoned by lack of context or bribery. I need something that directly proves Academia has been attacking civilians. Testimonials can be faked.

Yes. I'm the lady, and heart, of Academia. I can't oppose my people, outside self defense, unless I have a reason to. Nothing here has proven Academia is corrupted. Frankly, this stuff is par for course for me.

But as you've all stated, the Obelisk Force is looking through the entire Wonder Quartet... How do I get back there.

Because I don't trust either of you to not trick me and deliver me to your employer.

You tend to be when your tutors all start trying to convince you're too pretty to Duel and pants are hard all of a sudden, and you shouldn't mind the conversations at formal dinners, and stuff like that.
