[Event Post] Kaikori: The Eye of the Storm

::So anyone implicated with the disaster at Heartland City, you've been hurried away into Kaikori, the private gated community owned by the Wakahisa family.

It is a surreal place, caught in perpetual twilight. Resembling Ballonlea and Glimwood Tangle from Pokemon Sword & Shield, except the mushrooms are replaced with crystals growing out the ground and trees, it centers around a circle of shops and buildings including a convenience store, a gym, a small school to tutor the children of Noriko's friends and key employees, before branching out into company apartments to the south east, a motel and an inn to the west, and private homes in the North West to North to North East.

Perhaps you would like to take a break, interact with others, and breath before things likely get worse.

Fortunately, every time the government seems to come into Kaikori, they've been unable to locate Yamamoto Suzume, Wakahisa Noriko, or Mr. and Mrs. Tsukumo. So for now.

A piece of twilight paradise before things likely get so much worse.::

Mostly? The part where an alternate of my dear wife is also a mad queen who thinks anything can be solved with liberal application of, apparently, nuclear dragon.

Oh she has worse things to use than the nuclear dragon. And it's unlikely you'll let 'er use another one for a long while. He needs the other four to keep Japan stable from Australia, America, Russia and China.

But I dunno, if you wanna try to talk to her, go ahead, but do you think she'd listen to a version of her husband who didn't have the balls to become Emperor?

What's the situation that led to that "me" becoming Emperor at all?

Yeah, sorry. Lesse... The hints of the resurrection of the Earthbound Immortals or Gods or what you say started happening. Our world's version of Desdemona marked you and the Obsidian Lord as a 'false positive of sorts'.

'Desdemona' from that world got the very smart (not smart) idea of killing the Dark Signers ahead of time to prevent the problems.

You basically got hanged from a thorned rose vine noose, and then impaled multiple timed by rose thorn vine lances, and burned for extra credit.

Suzume tried to stop her, she got killed.

You immediately revived from death, a lot less Shikou than before almost right after that, and your wife was the actual positive, reviving as the Dark Signer of Wiraqocha Rasca.

Uh, and your wife is currently puppeting the corpse of Black Rose Dragon as a quasi-double Signer and the Bride of the Obsidian Lord and the Empress to the One True Emperor of Japan.

Naturally, you both have Opinions on the matter.

That certainly sounds less like I had the nerve to become "Emperor", and more I got forced into the situation because the actual "Lord" awoke. *letting out a frustrated sound*

Even if there's some small part of me still operating on that end, it's more the Obsidian Lord being awakened than anything else. But... it sounds like he still has some reasoning left in him, even just a little.

Suzume, however... she was always the type to take things really far if she got the opportunity to, huh? I could use the geas... but if it doesn't work, that'd just aggravate her more, or could draw my Obsidian Lord self to here, which seems much worse.

And yet, Suzume respects that authority and power. She sees it as someone with the power, using the power granted. If you have the means, you should be use it.

I'd say you're actually fairly reasonable if very 'people's heads roll if they don't get in line quickly'. Most of the madness of the Obsidian Lord is in Souha, as the Fire Lord of Kyoto.

... But yes, Suzume's... a military hot head. She gets it from her father and mother who are... right wing. She's very much a Neo Con, and views might makes right, and you're the one with the leash.

The good news is he won't lend her another Bahamut class 'golem'. The bad news is that was basically just a tinker toy in their arsenal.

But the new Imperial Palace is heavily guarded and Suzume might light us both on fire, or have the zombie of Black Rose Dragon do it for her.

And I feel like it'd be a lot easier to talk after we stop my Suzume.

Right, it seems like a lot of steps... and we have everything on this end to still deal with.

I'd still rather not have my Suzume get treated like a criminal.

Yeah. I think your Noriko is getting ready to try and make some moves but this was not good for her at all.

Yeah well. They have the same face and you try explaining 'parallel dimensions exist and people from them can come here'.

It does make me wish those in power were a bit more aware of what was going on... *letting out a heavy sigh*
