[Event Post] Kaikori: The Eye of the Storm
::So anyone implicated with the disaster at Heartland City, you've been hurried away into Kaikori, the private gated community owned by the Wakahisa family.
It is a surreal place, caught in perpetual twilight. Resembling Ballonlea and Glimwood Tangle from Pokemon Sword & Shield, except the mushrooms are replaced with crystals growing out the ground and trees, it centers around a circle of shops and buildings including a convenience store, a gym, a small school to tutor the children of Noriko's friends and key employees, before branching out into company apartments to the south east, a motel and an inn to the west, and private homes in the North West to North to North East.
Perhaps you would like to take a break, interact with others, and breath before things likely get worse.
Fortunately, every time the government seems to come into Kaikori, they've been unable to locate Yamamoto Suzume, Wakahisa Noriko, or Mr. and Mrs. Tsukumo. So for now.
A piece of twilight paradise before things likely get so much worse.::

::This is a 7 foot tall dark skinned woman with horns in a kimono, smoking on a pipe, sitting on a bench.
She feels like irresponsibility and shenanigans incarnate.::

So he was trying to track down Noriko, and got........ close enough.*
Do you know why Suzume is considered to be public enemy number one, right now?
no subject
Because another Suzume from an alternate reality tried to nuke Heartland City with a deterrent weapon system you gave her as part of her advance work here.
Oh hey, I can spill beans!
no subject
When you say "you", do you also mean an alternate reality version of me?
no subject
Yeah. Sorry about this, Shikou.

Except if you look to the direction of the thunder, you'll see a figure approaching. It's your cousin! Except he's wearing a red-and-gold robe fit for a warlock with green gems pinned in the breast and sleeves.
...And his eyes are a bright gold, and it feels like their stare could cut through the darkness of the void itself. ]
Wakahisa Noriko.

That's my name, don't worry it out, y'all.

Although they needed rest, they had been feeling the need to get some fresh air after spending the last few days indoors and curious about Kaikori, they decided they felt up for a small walk in the area just outside where they were staying.
Walking slowly, hand-in-hand, they explored the area around them, before taking a seat at a nearby bench.*

Shiroko-san?

*your local physician has found you.*

A little. We're still quite exhausted and hurt quite a bit, which is why we haven't gone too far from the apartment, but we felt we needed a bit of fresh air.
*When the both of them arrived, you found that, surprisingly, they didn't break anything in their tussle with the dragon, but Yuma had some severe bruising to his upper abdomen and Kotori had the head injury and a dislocated shoulder. Both also had pretty severe exhaustion from the battle.
Kotori now had her left arm in a sling and she would probably need some physiotherapy on it once the swelling and pain in the shoulder reduced.*

But I guess it's a good sign if you're walking around like this. Just be careful, though, and make sure you're resting as often as you can.
*crossing their arms a little, looking concerned*
You had fought some sort of... dragon, right?

::Hey, one or both of you.
There's a thing that's not a cat or a squirrel or a dog watching you, maybe outside your apartment's window, but it's definitely at a tree, at night. ::
[1/2]
Yuma. I know this seems strange, but I think there is something by the tree outside the apartment. It seems to be looking this way.
[2/2]
It might just be an animal or a duel spirit or something!
*Yuma walks over and opens the window to get a better look.*
