[Event Post]
::For Professor Kantei and Principal Yoko (seperate threads if either is interested), you 'lucked' out on the school's night security detail that rotates since for whatever reason, the school's budget request for night security guards keeps getting misfiled enough that they can only handle the school late enough that there needs to be a gap filled by volunteers.
One day, that budget request will be properly filed. Tonight is not that day.
You've been paired up with Mrs. Yuuki! It'll probably be fine until the part-time security guard gets here.::

*Yoko is walking around the school halls, but she also has a dog with her, that seems to have come from nowhere. It's a corgi that's walking by her heels obediently.*
no subject
... Where'd the dog come from.
::Waving a big flashlight with a handle about, since. Japanese school. Save electricity bill by keeping the lights off.::

*She motions to the corgi at her feet.*
He's one of the pets we have at home, but I was thinking of bringing them in now and then to act as emotional support animals for the staff and students.
And since I knew I was going to be doing this little security detail today, I figured he could also be a guard dog.
*She lowers her voice to a whisper.*
Though to be fair, he's not a great guard dog.
no subject
::Whispering back.::
I'm sure he'll do fine. Isn't that right, En?
no subject
Well, if anything, if there are any strange goings on tonight, he might pick up on it before we do, though I'm sure everything will be fine.

::Waves her hand.::

So, while we're walking around here, maybe we can get to know each other better.
You said you have a husband?
no subject
Had a time of it, there.
Ended up Dueling as a Pro for I think a decade before cashing out to run an NGO for Duel Spirits full time.
no subject
Oh, yes. I believe I've heard his name before. He runs... SAI, is it?
My son, Yuya, occasionally volunteers to work with the Duel Spirits there and last year my other son, Yuto, adopted an Ancient Gear Beast from there too.
My husband has also been visiting it every now and then. He's taken a keen interest in Duel Spirits since he retired.

From what I've heard, SAI seems like a really great place.

*Seku isn't a stranger to being given this particular duty, which is why his tone is so dry tonight*

But the person in charge of budget and accounting also is very cagey, and I think might have a secret lair in their office.
::Is less of a regular than you are, but she knows how much of a PITA this is.::
no subject
Or at the least, I wouldn't put it past them.
*he lets out a bit of a sigh.*
Hopefully the part-time guard'll get here soon.
no subject
::Shrugs.::
So should be mostly mundane.
no subject
*he's still listening out, though. His hearing is really good, so he should be able to pick up on anything that might be off.*
no subject
::You think you hear a caw from a direction it shouldn't be coming from.::
no subject
Wait, I just heard something. *he WAS going to try to dodge the question, but thankfully something picked up in his hearing range to cause enough distraction.*

*He starts walking in that direction.*

::Follows after you, her short work heels clicking.::
no subject
And that noise came from a direction that doesn't exist.
And THAT is the half-open door to a hallway that wasn't there yesterday.::
no subject
... Something's wrong, here.
