[DUEL FESTIVAL - DAY 7]

*It's the seventh day of the Festival, in the morning.

And to a lot of people's surprise, it seems like everything's getting packed up. Most of the booths and stands are closed down and getting put away, but it looks like the day's main event is still planned to commence. On the schedules everyone can access, there is only one event for the arena: "Wonder Quartet".

Up until this point, everyone assumed this to be basically a regular tournament to top off the event while everyone enjoyed their final day, but it seems like there's something more, with how hurried the organizers are.

Notably though, around the areas where screens are set up to show dueling video, online streams, and at the arena, there's two countdowns present-- one being for in a few minutes to something simply noted as "Announcement", and the other being for the oft-rumored "Wonder Quartet", a half-hour after that, starting at noon.

Best thing to do right now is to head for the arena, or watch one of the screens present or on your computer/phone/internet device of your choice.*

*Yuya doesn't seem to take very kindly to that remark. His eyes narrow as he starts picking himself up off the floor, making an almost growling sound, which then turns into a full-on yell of rage.*

*In what you swear was a flash of light, Yuya draws, then instantly holds up two cards.*

I set the Pendulum scale with the scale 3 Xiangke Magician and scale 8 Xiangsheng Magician!!

*Slamming them down on either side of the hardlight blade of his duel disk, the word 'PENDULUM' illuminates between them, before the two magicians rise into columns behind him, a pendulum swinging between them.
Yuya glares over at the three uniformed people, with a rather sadistic grin on his face.*

With this, I can now summon monsters between levels 4 to 7 simultaneously!

*Two streams of light shoot out from the pendulum vortex and appear as two monsters on Yuya's field.*

This must be that strange method that was reported back to us. Stay on your guard!

*Well, this is a summoning method that's more familiar! Both Yuya's monsters turn into light and shoot into the overlay vortex that appears before him.*

Formed from pitch-black darkness, to fight those foolish enough to oppose it with its treacherous fangs! Now, descend!

Rank 4! Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon! (2500 ATK)

*A large, dark and ferocious looking dragon appears onto Yuya's field with a roar as it crackles with energy. Yuya wastes no time going straight for an attack.*

BATTLE!

*Yuya points towards the hound belonging to the red uniformed member.*

Dark Rebellion attacks Ancient Gear Hunting Hound!
Lightning Disobey of Rebellion!!

*Crackling with electric energy, Dark Rebellion roars and lunges at the hound!*

*the Hound gets destroyed, as the Red one's LP goes down to 2500*

The ace card of a noted terrorist from the Xyz Dimension is confirmed! So this must be...

This means we can't afford to screw up here!

*Yuya continues to glare over at the uniformed figures, with Dark Rebellion looking equally as menacing behind him.*

*The Hound appears, spitting a ball of flame at you soon as it does! If it hits, it's over!*

*Yuya quickly runs and jumps up between two trees, before grabbing a branch and swinging up on it, picking up an Action Card that is snagged between two twigs on the way, which he instantly activates.*

*That sadistic smile is back again.*

*the fireball redirects back at the Obelisk Force member, as he raises his arm to block it. [2000 LP]*

Damnit, you think you stopped your end now with your weird method, but your time will come soon enough! I set one card, end turn!

I draw.

*the Green one makes a frown at his drawn card, but then picks out two others. fine, a change in strategy's in order.*

I set two cards, and switch the Hunting Hound to defense position. I end my turn.

*And then the Yellow one draws.

He looks at the set cards, and then at his fellows, before nodding. Fine, so this is the plan...*

I switch my own Hunting Hound to defense, and set one card. End!

*Yuya's eyes shift from one of the uniformed people to another... what are they up to...*

My turn! DRAW!

And here's your end! Activate, Fiendish Chain! Chain to it, Aqua Chorus!

I activate my own Aqua Chorus!

And mine as well!

*with those three giving out their actions in chain, the four cards flip up, as the Hounds go up to 2500 ATK-- and chains shoot out, grabbing Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon and restraining them!*

*Yuya looks up at his restrained Dark Rebellion, then back at the uniformed people. He does not look at all pleased that you restrained his dragon.*

Do you really think that will stop me?

*At this point, the intensity of the very bad feeling surrounding Yuya becomes even stronger, as a dark aura practically starts leaking off him.*

Once again! Swing Pendulum of souls! Draw an arc of light across the ether!!

Level 7, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon! (2500 ATK)

*Odd-Eyes roars as it appears on the field beside Dark Rebellion.*

Xiangke Magician's Pendulum effect!
This allows Dark Rebellion to be used as material for an Xyz summon, counting it's rank as a level for this turn!

*Xiangke Magician uses it's large shield/staff to fire beams of light at Dark Rebellion.*

Next. Xiangsheng Magician's Pendulum effect!
By targeting both Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon and Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, Dark Rebellion turns to Level 7 to match Odd-Eyes!

*Xiangsheng Magician fires an arrow which hits the field, changing Dark Rebellion's level to match Odd-Eyes'. Yuya's eyes then narrow.*

*Both dragons turn into a dark light as they both enter the overlay vortex.*

*As this new dragon roars loudly and appears behind Yuya, the sky above them suddenly seems to go very dark and overcast, as an intense dark wind whips through the area.*

*the three Obelisk Force members look around, wondering what could cause this sudden shift in the weather, but the red one speaks out*

Like that'll stop anything! Even if you attack one, we'll still have our turns to wipe out the rest of your life!

I activate Odd-Eyes Rebellion's effect!
Since Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon was used as a material for summoning it, Odd-Eyes Rebellion Dragon can destroy any Level 7 or lower monsters that you control, and inflict 1000 damage for each one!

*Odd-Eyes Rebellion Dragon roars and sends soundwaves out towards the 3 Hunting Hounds.*

*all three of your opponents raise up their arms as Rebellion Dragon's roar echoes across the field, hitting the Hunting Hounds, causing them to explode upon impact! The backlash of their destruction hits them, as their LP counts read as [1000] [3000] [3000]*

Brace yourselves, both of you! He can only take one of us down!

*That sadistic grin appears on Yuya's face once more.*

When I successfully destroyed your monsters and inflicted damage, Odd-Eyes Rebellion Dragon can now make 3 attacks during the battle phase this turn.

*Yuya holds up three fingers on his hand, as if drilling in this fact, before he then moves it to point at the three uniformed people.*

Odd-Eyes Rebellion Dragon attacks the three of you directly!!

*The sections on Odd-Eyes Rebellion's 'wings' quickly open up and start crackling with electricity, making it look even MORE larger and menacing than it was before. It then quickly moves and barrels towards the three people, tearing up everything in it's path as it does. The ground, the trees, everything is at the mercy of this terrifying and powerful dragon.*

Imperial Wrath Revolt - Strike Disobey!!

*one of them almost lets out a curse before they-- along with their fellows-- are bowled over by the dragon, along with literally anything that was in it's way.

They about go flying a decent distance from the impact, before landing on the ground a ways away, all three of their LP counts showing 0000.

They won't be getting up anytime soon.*

*As his duel disk deactivates and the dragon disappears, the sky above them seems to return back to normal.

Yuya glares over at the three fallen figures before him, before he wordlessly turns and starts walking away from them.
But he still has a very menacing look on his face and is still giving off that terrible dark aura...*

[Gongeznaka didn't show up just now. He and Shirou caught...most of the end of that. He wasn't sure what to expect when he got here, he thought from what Shirou was talking about that Yuya might be in trouble...

*has been rather frozen in shock himself-- though he doesn't fully understand what he just witnessed through Fortune Tune's "vision", he could really clearly tell two things:

One, the presences-- the Obelisk Force members-- were some of the ones that suddenly appeared. So that's at least squared away.

And two: Something was wrong with Yuya. Whatever had happened, it was like an overwhelming animosity had taken him over, overshadowing his presence... and what felt like the presence of another. But there's only one person there...?

But once he realizes that Yuya was moving away, he swallowed and tried to speak again.*

Should... should stop him...

...

Stay here.

[Gongenzaka doesn't understand much about what's happening right now. But he understands that whatever is happening with Yuya, it's not safe for Shirou to be near it.

He starts walking towards Yuya.]

*When he hears someone approaching him, Yuya, or whatever it was, stops and looks around at Gongenzaka, glaring at him.
He doesn't speak, but as Gon gets closer, he slowly lifts up his duel disk, as if he was going to challenge him, but then, there is a loud cracking sound.

A large branch breaks off and begins falling from a tree that had been hit by Odd-Eyes Rebellion's attack, right above where Yuya is standing!*

--YUYA!

[Suddenly heedless of Yuya raising his disk in his direction, Gongenzaka lunges forward. By the time he gets there, there's not enough time to get him out of the way, so he just dives on top of Yuya, landing on all fours --

CRUNCH.]

NRRRRGH!

[And the branch lands right on his back.]

*visibly wincing as he hears the CRUNCH of the branch falling-- and while he was told to stay there, he's quickly going over, Fortune Tune flying next to him*
