[DUEL FESTIVAL - DAY 7]

*It's the seventh day of the Festival, in the morning.

And to a lot of people's surprise, it seems like everything's getting packed up. Most of the booths and stands are closed down and getting put away, but it looks like the day's main event is still planned to commence. On the schedules everyone can access, there is only one event for the arena: "Wonder Quartet".

Up until this point, everyone assumed this to be basically a regular tournament to top off the event while everyone enjoyed their final day, but it seems like there's something more, with how hurried the organizers are.

Notably though, around the areas where screens are set up to show dueling video, online streams, and at the arena, there's two countdowns present-- one being for in a few minutes to something simply noted as "Announcement", and the other being for the oft-rumored "Wonder Quartet", a half-hour after that, starting at noon.

Best thing to do right now is to head for the arena, or watch one of the screens present or on your computer/phone/internet device of your choice.*

Well, whatever. A duel he wants. A duel he gets, as they all draw their cards. Three against one is easy.*

*the Red one starts off*

I summon out Ancient Gear Hunting Hound! (1000/1000)

*that mechanical dog appears, giving out a synthetic growling sound, before lunging at Yuya immediately!*

When Normal Summoned, I inflict 600 damage to you!

*Yuya is hit by flames that come out of the Hunting Hounds mouth (3400 LP), but he seems rather un-phased by it. He simply stands there and dusts himself off after the attack like it was absolutely nothing.*

End turn!

*the one with the Green gem draws now*

I summon my own Hunting Hound! 600 more damage to you! *a second Hunting Hound appears, spitting out another flame ball at Yuya*

*The flames hit him, but Yuya, once again, doesn't move. He lets the flames brush over him and doesn't even flinch. His eyes remain completely locked on the three people in front of him. (2800 LP)*

*well, while you're locked on, the Green one holds out his hand*

Battle! Hunting Hound attacks directly!

*and then the mechanical dog rushes at you, leaping up!*

*Yuya suddenly moves with speed, quickly picking up an action card which was on a low tree branch.*

I activate the Action Magic---!

Whatever you're doing, it won't work! Hunting Hound negates the activation of your spells and traps when it attacks!

*Hunting Hound catches up to you, giving a bite at your leg, ow!*

Tch...!

*That, at least, gets a reaction out of him, but he also doesn't look very happy about it either! (1800 LP)*

I end my turn!

*The Yellow one draws now-- and then smirks*

Ancient Gear Hunting Hound! *what-- a third one?! This one also spits fire at you after appearing, Yuya, before following up with a lunge. They're just ganging up on you at this point!*

*Yuya is hit once again by the flames (1200 LP) and is then attacked by the third dog, which this time actually knocks Yuya to the ground (200 LP). Yuya looks up at the three of them. He doesn't look simply mad at this point, he looks absolutely furious with them.*

You can only take one more hit! Just surrender quietly, and we'll get carding you over with before you know it! Turn end!

*Yuya doesn't seem to take very kindly to that remark. His eyes narrow as he starts picking himself up off the floor, making an almost growling sound, which then turns into a full-on yell of rage.*

GRWAAAAAAAHHHH!!
MY TURN!!

*In what you swear was a flash of light, Yuya draws, then instantly holds up two cards.*

I set the Pendulum scale with the scale 3 Xiangke Magician and scale 8 Xiangsheng Magician!!

*Slamming them down on either side of the hardlight blade of his duel disk, the word 'PENDULUM' illuminates between them, before the two magicians rise into columns behind him, a pendulum swinging between them.
Yuya glares over at the three uniformed people, with a rather sadistic grin on his face.*

With this, I can now summon monsters between levels 4 to 7 simultaneously!

Swing, Pendulum of souls! Draw and arc of light across the ether!
PENDULUM SUMMON!
Come out, my monster servants!

*Two streams of light shoot out from the pendulum vortex and appear as two monsters on Yuya's field.*

Level 4, Entermate Whip Viper! (1700/900) And Level 4 Entermate Skeeter Skimmer! (500/1600)

What, "Pendulum Summon"?

This must be that strange method that was reported back to us. Stay on your guard!

Level 4, Whip Viper and Skeeter Skimmer... OVERLAY!

*Well, this is a summoning method that's more familiar! Both Yuya's monsters turn into light and shoot into the overlay vortex that appears before him.*

Formed from pitch-black darkness, to fight those foolish enough to oppose it with its treacherous fangs! Now, descend!
XYZ SUMMON!
Rank 4! Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon! (2500 ATK)

*A large, dark and ferocious looking dragon appears onto Yuya's field with a roar as it crackles with energy. Yuya wastes no time going straight for an attack.*

BATTLE!

*Yuya points towards the hound belonging to the red uniformed member.*

Dark Rebellion attacks Ancient Gear Hunting Hound!
Lightning Disobey of Rebellion!!

*Crackling with electric energy, Dark Rebellion roars and lunges at the hound!*

*the Hound gets destroyed, as the Red one's LP goes down to 2500*

The ace card of a noted terrorist from the Xyz Dimension is confirmed! So this must be...

This means we can't afford to screw up here!

*Yuya continues to glare over at the uniformed figures, with Dark Rebellion looking equally as menacing behind him.*

And this is the end for you! Summon, Ancient Gear Hunting Hound, and finish them off!

*The Hound appears, spitting a ball of flame at you soon as it does! If it hits, it's over!*

*Yuya quickly runs and jumps up between two trees, before grabbing a branch and swinging up on it, picking up an Action Card that is snagged between two twigs on the way, which he instantly activates.*

I negate your hunting hounds effect and...

*That sadistic smile is back again.*

*the fireball redirects back at the Obelisk Force member, as he raises his arm to block it. [2000 LP]*

Damnit, you think you stopped your end now with your weird method, but your time will come soon enough! I set one card, end turn!

I draw.

*the Green one makes a frown at his drawn card, but then picks out two others. fine, a change in strategy's in order.*

I set two cards, and switch the Hunting Hound to defense position. I end my turn.

*And then the Yellow one draws.

He looks at the set cards, and then at his fellows, before nodding. Fine, so this is the plan...*

I switch my own Hunting Hound to defense, and set one card. End!

*Yuya's eyes shift from one of the uniformed people to another... what are they up to...*
